Prayer to the Six-Syllable Great Compassionate One

Prayer to the Six-Syllable Great Compassionate One

Description: This practice enables us to draw closer to the universal wisdom and compassion of the enlightened mind. It develops our ability to have an open heart through meditation on the deity of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit). Who is Chenrezig? Literally, his name means, 'the one who regards all sentient beings with limitless compassion.'

The mantra of Chenrezig, OM MANI PADME HUM, is the most widely used in Tibetan Buddhism and has great power for developing a good heart. Each session will include prayers, mantra recitation, and a guided meditation.
