The following schedule and teachings will be presented:

Wednesday December 11, 2024 7pm – 8:30pm - On Fear

Classic Tibetan Buddhist Texts talk about fears that can manifest as externalized manifestations of internal states of mind. The eight great inner causes of fear are pride, ignorance, anger, jealousy, attachment, miserliness, wrong views, and doubt. Venerable Geshe Sherab will touch on these and teach us how to apply Dharma practices to transform them with the achievable goal of becoming completely fearless.

Friday December 13, 2024 7pm - 8:30 pm - Ethics, Meditation, and Wisdom

In this talk, Geshe Sherab shares how we can transform our minds and hearts to cultivate more compassion and wisdom. He presents a path leading from the practice of generosity and kindness, through meditation to deeply understanding ourselves and others.

Saturday, December 14, 2024 & Sunday, December 15, 2024 - Eight Verses of Training the Mind by Geshe Langri Tangpa

Morning Session (both days): 10am-12pm

Lunch (both days): Noon to 1:45pm

Afternoon Session: (both days) 2pm-4pm

The Eight Verses of Training the Mind by Geshe Langri Tangpa is one of the most concise teachings on Lojong, or “training the mind,” in Mahayana Buddhism. In eight poetic and precise verses it presents a profound and layered teaching on confronting our inner mental afflictions and living with courageous compassion and wisdom. Over these two days, Geshe Sherab will guide us through these verses and teach us how to integrate this wisdom into our daily lives.

“The main point this verse emphasizes is to develop an attitude that enables you to regard other sentient beings as precious, much in the manner of precious jewels.” — His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
